Fruit Storage & Ripening

With a growing focus on food security and food waste, one way to improve the yield of certain types of fruit is through the management and control of the ripening process.

We provide customized solutions for the storage and ripening of certain types of fruit such as avocados, bananas, and mangoes to maximise yield and shelf life therefore reducing costly waste.

We do this by building dedicated storage rooms in which we control the temperature, humidity, and ethanol content to create the optimum ripening environment for each type of fruit.

Once the products are close to ripening, they can be tested using a quality test meter specifically designed for the type of fruit being ripened which will provide accurate data on the readiness of the product. This data can also be used to assess the overall process and outcome over time so that the optimum ripening conditions for each type of product can be clearly defined.
